DIY Tie Dye Sneakers
Materials
- Two Plain White Sneakers
- Dye (pink, orange, yellow, blue, purple)
- Plastic See-Thru Gloves
- Big Square Tub (moveable)
- Tape
How To Do This
Get the sneakers. Unlace the shoes and tape the soles. Starting with pink, rub the dye into the front of the shoe over the tub. Next, use the color orange, and blending into the edge of the pink dye. Then, use the yellow dye; it will take up much of the shoe, including the tongue. Next, use the blue dye, rub it in, and blend some into the yellow dye to make the color green. After that, cover the heel of the shoe with the purple dye, and blend some into the blue to make indigo. Finally, put each shoe in a plastic bag and and have them sit overnight and let the shoes dry, too. The next day, take the shoes out of their bags and peel off the tape. Wash the shoes in warm water on a gentle spin, then put them in the dryer on a gentle spin as well. When that is all done, lace the dyed shoes back up. The last step is very simple:
